Bible Reading Interaction:

John 6:44-45

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

My Thought:

The word of God is clear that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. God has given us His word that we may learn His will for us. His will is that all men be saved and come unto the knowledge of the truth. We hear, we learn of the Father, we come when he draws-it is a straight and narrow way. But it is Gods way and there is no other way.

Of Himself Christ proclaimed, "...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6, KJV). Jesus is the exclusive entrance into the presence of God for eternity. The desire of Christ and the will of God is that all men come into this salvation and thereby escape the eternal consequence of sin (2 Peter 3:8). Further God has manifest Himself to all through creation but the majority have rejected what might be known of God (Romans 1:20-21).
The good news is that, "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9, KJV). God, in His patience and by His determination, allows mankind to persist in sin and iniquity with the aspiration that His offer of redemption will not be refused by all.

Will you continue to try the patience of God or will you choose to accept His offer of life and peace?
